indulge me

When was the last time you lingered in a bookstore? Had a massage, facial, your nails done? How long has it been since you shopped just for you. Trendy boutiques invite you to slip into something romantic, avant-garde or travel and adventure wear. Many of the businesses are family owned and operated. Service is very personal. Promenade the fountain square. Stroll the beach at sunrise, sip a glass of wine and watch the harbor lights. Slip aboard a ferry. Edmonds holds the title for eight years running as Western Washington's friendliest city. After a superb dinner selected from a kaleidoscope of ethnic cuisine diversity lulled by rhythm & blues, tuck yourself into a cozy B&B. Snuggle down to comfort with fresh muffins or sleep on the Sound in a smallish hotel with all the amenities. Indulge yourself - you're worth it.

the quaint, the historic, about antiques & afternoon tea

Edmonds is the quintessential micro-city with all the amenities, on an inviting comfortable scale, all within strolling distance. In a leisurely quest for a chest like your grandmother used to hope you would have or that tea cup to add to your collection, lace doilies or walnut armoires make your choice from the finest French, Italian, English, Chinese and Scandinavian treasures. Old Milltown, a turn of the century 20-shop complex, and the antique mall near the waterfront specialize in curios and collectibles, glassware, furniture and decorative arts. Edmonds antique shops collect in your specialty, time period and price range. The staff is usually the owner, bringing years of expertise to assist you.
