one if by land... two if by sea...
we'll leave the light on for you

Edmonds is a convenient port for Washington State Ferries as well as Amtrak.  Edmonds is also served by the Community Transit bus system. The waterfront, once the fishing grounds for the Snohomish tribe, was until recently, home to the largest charter fishing fleet in Puget Sound. The Port of Edmonds currently operates the largest covered moorage facility on the West Coast and provides both wet and dry storage for 1200 boats up to 55 feet. Overnight moorage, fueling facilities and a live bait shop make a quick jaunt very easy. The Port's boat repair facility is the most environmentally advanced in the Puget Sound area and allows boat owners to work on their vessels or use the services of several local vendors. You are encouraged to enjoy the Port's public walkway with a view of the marina, the Olympic Mountains, and the Puget Sound shipping channels.

beach parks

There are four beach parks to enjoy in Edmonds. Visit, enjoy a picnic at Bracketts Landing, a marine sanctuary at the foot of Main Street surrounding the ferry terminal. The Edmonds Underwater Park, north of the ferry dock, is 27 acres attracting scuba divers from across the nation seeking certification. Sunken structures offer passage ways and enclosures housing schools of fish and plant life. South of Harbor Square is the Union Oil Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary Trail. Interpretive signs border the marshland and bird watchers are rewarded during spring and fall migration. Olympic Beach & Fishing Pier located at Railroad Avenue and Dayton Street is dedicated to the area's many Olympic champions. The fishing pier was the first public saltwater fishing pier in the state and is open year around. Marina Beach south of Admiral Way is en-route to Deer Creek Fish Hatchery, which releases over 100,000 salmon annually.
