Grant Ensures 100 year tradition of “An Edmonds Kind of 4th” Continues With Parades & Fireworks in 2013

(Edmonds, WA) The Edmonds based Hazel Miller Foundation has generously awarded the Edmonds Chamber Foundation a $30,000 grant. The funds will support this year’s presentation of “An Edmonds Kind of 4th”, a non-profit 501(c)(3) event. The grant assures that the community driven parade celebration will “march” through downtown Edmonds and illuminate the skyline with fireworks on the Fourth of July for 2013 and years to come.

Awarded as part of the “Annual Giving” program, the generous grant continues the tradition of the Hazel Miller Foundation serving as long-term partner with the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce in making "An Edmonds Kind of 4th" possible for the community of Edmonds and surrounding areas.

With over a 100-year tradition, “An Edmonds Kind of 4th” is a cornerstone of the community, engaging families and businesses. For most residents, the 4th of July festivities kick off a Northwest summer full of family and community centered activities.

Hazel and her husband, Morris, were long-time Edmonds residents with a love of Edmonds. The 2013 grant will provide financial support for the day-long Fourth of July celebration. “An Edmonds Kind of 4th” features a 5K Fun Run & Walk, Children’s Parade, Main Parade and Evening Mini-Concert & Fireworks that entertains, dazzles and wow’s over 25,000 spectators.
