Aug. 9-11, 2013

  • Hours: Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Where: Civic Playfield, 310 6th Ave. N, Edmonds, WA 98020
  • Admission: $4 Daily (12 and under free)
  • Theme: Elvis. Join the fun  as entertainers perform Elvis songs, vendors dress like Elvis, and you become part of the show. Thank you, Thank you very much!

 

Food Booths

35 food booths featuring a wide range of palatable delights.

Arts and Crafts Booths

 

More than 70 quality vendors offering original, hand-crafted work including: jewelry, art, photography, clothing, pottery, glass, leather items and many other crafts.

Children's Area

 

Features inflatable rides, pony rides, rock wall, a giant slide, the Frog Zone, model hydroplane racing, free craft activities and booths that cater to the wee ones.

Entertainment

 

Three stages of fabulous entertainment!

  • The Beer Garden Stage serving Budweiser and welcomed by 106.1 KISSFM will feature popular bands THE BEATNIKS, SPIKE & THE IMPALERS, THE AFRODISIACS AND #1 VAN HALEN TRIBUTE BAND “THE ATOMIC PUNKS”. Note: $2 cover charge to beer garden from 4pm on Friday and Saturday.
  • The Main Stage is welcomed by KOMO News Radio and Frontier Communications will feature HEART BY HEART that includes recent Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Steve Fossen and Mike Derosier original members of Super group HEART. Also appearing Beatles tribute band BRITISH EXPORT, Neil Diamond tribute band CHERRY CHERRY and Elivis tribute bands DANNY VERNON & THE DEVILLES and TRACY ALAN MOORE & RISING SON.
  • The Kid's Stage is welcomed by KMPS Radio, Disney Radio, and Lynnwood Honda and is hosted by BUCK & ELIZABETH. Appearing on the kids stage will be REPTILE ISLE, LITTLE ELVIS,  5th Avenue actress NAOMI MORGAN, and THE DISNEY DANCE TEAM.
  • Roving entertainers include jugglers, unicyclists, stilt walkers, belly dancers, clowns, musicians, etc. There will be a surprise around every corner.

Free Shuttle

Coldwell Banker Bain Realty of Edmonds will be making it easy to visit the Taste by dropping folks off at the festival entrance on 7th Avenue. Parking and shuttle are free! The busses will depart and return to Edmonds Woodway High School every 15 minutes beginning 11 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Reunions

  • Meadowdale High School Class of 1973 will host an unofficial 40-year party on Aug. 9, beginning at 4 p.m. in the beer garden.
  • Edmonds High School Class of 1983 will host an unofficial 30-year party on Aug. 10, beginning at 4 p.m. in the beer garden.
  • Lynnwood High School Class of 1993 will host an unofficial 20-year party on Aug. 9, beginning at 6 p.m. in the wine garden.
  • Woodway High School Class of 2003 will host an unofficial 10-year party on Aug. 10 beginning at 4pm in the beer garden.

Special Attractions

  • Fair Rewards will have a special kiosk. Participants log in on the computers and receive discounts from participating A Taste of Edmonds vendors and free gifts.
  • Black Pine Spas will have their 60’ x 20’ interactive display on-site featuring their latest in home spa innovations. The display is awesome!
  • Tulalip Resort Casino and Quilceda Creek Casino will be on-site to spread the luck. Check out the prizes and give-aways!
  • Miss Washington USA and Miss Washington Teen USA contestants will visit Saturday from noon-2 p.m. to sign autographs and answer questions.
  • Washington’s Lottery will be on-site selling all your favorite games and will have second chance drawings all three days of the Taste.
  • This year the Wine Garden is pouring a fabulous selection of wines from Washington and around the world, sponsored by Edmonds native Jeff Boyer UNCORKED and World Wines at Home.  Whether a seasoned connoisseur or a novice sipper; we’ll have something for every palate!
  • Radio Disney takes over the Kids area on Sunday with Kids Karaoke, prizes and giveaways, Disney Dance Team, and much more.
  • KOMO News Radio will have a prize wheel set-up where guests can stop by and try their luck at winning some great prizes.
  • The Taste has created more covered dining area for folks to eat under cover, sun or rain.
