A little over a year ago the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce formed a new Arts and Culture Committee with the goal of raising awareness of the contributions of our local arts and culture sector to the economic vitality of Edmonds and highlighting the many partnerships and collaborations that support arts & culture.  The committee, chaired by Chamber board member Jack Loos, includes representation from the City, EdCC, the Port, local non-profits, businesses, and artists.

The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce Arts & Culture Committee is pleased to announce a new awards program to recognize the importance of the arts to economic growth and civic well-being.  The new Edmonds Chamber Arts Awards celebrate businesses, organizations, and individuals who have made outstanding and exemplary contributions to arts and culture in the Edmonds community.  There are four categories of nominations:  business leadership, individual leadership, creative collaboration, and volunteer service.  The awards will be presented at a public event on March 21, 2013.  Look for more information on applications and how to make a nomination in the upcoming weeks.  Nominations will be accepted starting in November 2012 with a February 14, 2013 deadline.
